If it is diamond-adorned, then yes of course.
Some people are already complaining that smartwatches are beyond their means. So, this would be as good an opportunity as any to break the news that there now is a smartwatch with a nearly one million Ringgit price tag.
It’s none other than the Tag Heuer Connected Full Diamond smartwatch, one of the few watches announced by the Swiss watchmaking company at the currently ongoing Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève watch show in Switzerland.
Like its name suggests, the Connected Full Diamond is a smartwatch adorned with 589 VVS baguette size diamonds, and an 18K polished white gold 45mm case.
The price tag? About US$197,000 (RM780,000).
Tag Heuer’s website states that the Connected Modular 45 Full Diamond was developed in collaboration with Intel and Google, and incorporates the 150 years of expertise, knowledge and heritage behind the Swiss company.
According to The Verge, the rest of the watch is basically a standard Android Wear 2.0 device with Amoled screen, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and an Intel Atom Z34XX processor.
It also states that Tag Heuer has said that it’ll be offering a trade-in programme where the lucky (and not forgetting super rich) Connected Modular 45 Full Diamond owner can swap in a mechanical movement for the electronic one once its technology becomes outdated.
