Great news Mario Kart lovers; the classic game will soon be available on your smartphones, and by soon, we mean next year.
Nintendo, via its Nintendo of America Twitter account, announced that the app called Mario Kart Tour is in development and will be released in the fiscal year ending in March 2019.
There aren’t many details about the app created after one of Nintendo’s biggest titles.
What we do know is that the popular racing game made its debut in 1992, and we have seen many versions including Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit and Mario Kart Wii, up to its latest iteration, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Mario Kart Tour will reportedly be available on both iOS and Android smartphones.
Nintendo also followed up the news with another tweet announcing that it is partnering with Illumination Entertainment to bring the retired plumber to the big screens. Illumination is the animation company behind the Minion and Despicable Me movies.
